Our Story

“Nawa” means “New Beginning” in Thai.

Nawa features a diversity of small and large plate dining, with culinary influences from Thailand and elsewhere in Asia. The emphasis on everything we present is based on freshness, distinctiveness and excellence. Our curries, marinades, broths and sauces are all authentic creations from our all-star Southeast Asian culinary team. Part of our uniquely Asian experience includes custom-crafted Cocktails that showcase herbal and fruit flavors of the Far East… as well as our take on the Classics. We produce our own fresh fruit juices daily and use only the finest mixers, bitters, cocktail ice and house-made syrups. Nawa believes in sourcing our ingredients and services from local providers whenever possible, based on seasonality and freshness.

We are truly blessed to have the BEST team of restaurant pros in town, bringing it every day to make your Nawa experience memorable. There is great pride in having such a diverse and accomplished crew, whether they have been with us since construction in 2017, or since last month. Nothing is possible without gifted people making it happen every day!

Locally Owned

Nawa’s partners are local, long-time residents of NE Indiana. Following the success of their first restaurant venture in Bangkok at the turn of the century, Te and Prill wanted to bring that authenticity to a finer dining atmosphere, in our rejuvenated, rocking Downtown / Riverfront. We are thrilled to complement The Landing re-development… and to be nearby to Promenade Park and all the great things happening in our fair city!
